How To Prevent Tooth Decay

Tooth decay is one of the most common dental conditions. The process of tooth decaying is irreversible, so before it’s too late, you must take care to prevent this condition.

  • Daily flossing – daily flossing between teeth is necessary, because if food starts collecting between the teeth, it will result in sore gums, bad breathes and of course tooth decay.
  • Rinsing with saline water – you must rinse the mouth with saline water at least once a day. Salt water has disinfecting property that will keep mouth disinfectant and gums well.
  • Avoid beverages – beverages or soft drinks are rich in phosphoric acid that actually dissolves the teeth.
  • Brush regularly – apart from brushing the teeth in the morning and at night, you must brush your teeth after taking a meal.
  • Natural diet – you must emphasize on eating natural, plant-based diet. Pulses, whole grains and seeds of plants are good foods that keep teeth and gums healthy.
  • Regular exposure to sunlight – sunlight helps our body to produce vitamin D which is inevitable to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
  • Right tooth brush – small-headed, soft-bristled tooth brushes are the best for brushing the teeth. Hard brushes damage tooth enamel.

You can use home teeth whitening kits to get a pair of healthy shiny and whiter teeth.
