Carbamide
peroxide is also used for whitening teeth and in fact carbamide peroxide is
decomposed into hydrogen. This means that a solution of carbamide peroxide
bleaching concentrated energy is less than an equivalent of hydrogen peroxide.
It is only about a third as strong. A concentration of 30 percent of carbamide
peroxide is as effective at bleaching teeth whiter shade as a 10% solution of
hydrogen peroxide. However carbamide peroxide is popularly used in teeth whitening
products.
The
reason carbamide peroxide is commonly used in whitening products at home
instead of hydrogen peroxide are because it is safer to handle. Whitening
products including carbamide peroxide bleaching are safer to use and much less
likely to cause side effects hydrogen peroxide whitening gels using a higher
concentration of peroxide. A good carbamide peroxide whitening gel can still
get the whitening results you're looking for, despite offering less peroxide.
Both
carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide are effective teeth whitening products.
Do not worry too much about the relative strengths and concentrations of
various products based peroxide bleaching. Instead of trying to find the
highest concentration of available hydrogen peroxide in whitening product you can
get whiter teeth you want with a lower concentration and safest solution is carbamide
peroxide.
