What Is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening is one of the most effective ways to lighten and whiten the teeth so that they get back to their original color.  Unfortunately, teeth get discolored due to many reasons. Sometimes, it’s because of the food we eat or wine we drink, particularly during the weekend.

Smoking is also one of the major causes of discolored teeth. It sometimes leaves your teeth looking dull and grey. It’s not always possible to get rid of stains with brushing. Age also has a direct impact on the color of teeth, as you grow older it’s the enamel of the teeth that wears out.

When it comes to the teeth whitening process, it’s mainly peroxide i.e. Hydrogen peroxide and Carbamide peroxide that are mainly used. However, it depends on the dentist and your dental condition as to what kind of treatments will be used.

Most of time, professional dentists usually go for HP. Hydrogen peroxide is definitely more effective than CP. So, how do you choose the right treatment? Should you choose professional or go for home teeth whitening kits?

Cost Of The Treatment

As you must be very well aware, teeth whitening is a very expensive process and although there are many professional dentists who can now get it done at a relatively cheap price; it’s still very high in many countries.

For professional teeth whitening, you can either get it done at a salon or may also look for mobile technicians who can carry out the process easily. However, you have to pay a hefty price.

A professional dentist will cost around £ 300- £ 1500, and sometimes you may have to pay more. Obviously, it’s a little bit expensive - but it can help you get desired results. If we speak about the results, it mainly depends on the staining of the tooth and its structure. Therefore, you should speak with a dentist before choosing any specific procedure. This can help you to make the right choice.

How Does Hydrogen Peroxide, Carbamide Peroxide whiten teeth??

Carbamide peroxide is also used for whitening teeth and in fact carbamide peroxide is decomposed into hydrogen. This means that a solution of carbamide peroxide bleaching concentrated energy is less than an equivalent of hydrogen peroxide. It is only about a third as strong. A concentration of 30 percent of carbamide peroxide is as effective at bleaching teeth whiter shade as a 10% solution of hydrogen peroxide. However carbamide peroxide is popularly used in teeth whitening products.

The reason carbamide peroxide is commonly used in whitening products at home instead of hydrogen peroxide are because it is safer to handle. Whitening products including carbamide peroxide bleaching are safer to use and much less likely to cause side effects hydrogen peroxide whitening gels using a higher concentration of peroxide. A good carbamide peroxide whitening gel can still get the whitening results you're looking for, despite offering less peroxide.
Both carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide are effective teeth whitening products. Do not worry too much about the relative strengths and concentrations of various products based peroxide bleaching. Instead of trying to find the highest concentration of available hydrogen peroxide in whitening product you can get whiter teeth you want with a lower concentration and safest solution is carbamide peroxide.

Are there any lip tone to look whiter teeth?

Question: Are there any lip tone to look whiter teeth?

Answer:

Various cosmetics in your makeup case can help make your smile look brighter. Nothing exceed but good dental hygiene, it is proven that certain colors can highlight or dull the color of your teeth.
It is technically possible. White teeth are not alone a thanks to makeup, but there are varying shades of lipsticks can make a marked difference in them.
To make your teeth appear clear, the important thing is to choose a lipstick or gloss that has blue pigments. The sub-cool tones or blue based help counteract yellowish tone you may have in your teeth.
The deep red lipstick is recognized as bleach for automatic smiles. A perfect red is one that is not too orange or too blue. For its part, the colors red as “fruit” raspberry, blueberry and strawberry. These are perfectly suited to your skin and achieve harmony with the tone of your teeth.
Wine (burgundy) tones and plum are colors that give you an air of sensuality and mystery, are flattering to achieve a pure smile. Now, if you're that afraid of the color, lip gloss or lip balm with dark tone or even tint of red is the solution.
Although these shades are usually recommended for wear more pearly teeth, you should consider the color of your skin to avoid seeing too pale or yellowish. Remember, a very dark lipstick does not look right in a very light skin and vice versa.
Finally, if you want whiter teeth, do not use lipstick orange, peach, pink light, neutral (nudes) or sub-warm tones. And lastly for a bright white smile the best solution is to use teeth whitening gels and pastes.

Internal Tooth Whitening

When dental stains are unsightly and we opt for tooth whitening at the dentist's office, one of the most effective treatment options is the internal teeth bleaching.

The treatment consists in lightening the color of our teeth by placing a whitening gel to the inside of the bone , so it would not be effective for some stains, including those caused by metal filled or damaged blood vessels.

Thus in case of the internal teeth whitening dentist cuts a hole, usually in the back of the tooth, so it does not see with the naked eye and bleach are placed in the hollow area, which subsequently sealed with a temporary filling.

The product is left on for a week or less, so that the gel filling and are completely dry and then we go back to the dentist. If we are satisfied with the new tone, our dentist will fill the hole with a tooth colored filling. However some time, the color is not clear enough and one need to repeat the process.

Sometimes internal bleaching needs combined with other whitening techniques like LASER teeth bleaching, Teeth whitening gel, whitening strips etc., to achieve the desired effect.

How I Get White Teeth

Getting pearly white teeth is the strong desire of many and I include my name too in the list. There are several ways by which one can get the perfect white teeth. But maintaining the whiteness for a long time is also a need. I think my teeth are quite white (but a little less than the whiteness of my eyeballs). Today I will share with you how I get this whiteness.

  1. After every six to eight months I consider using teeth whitening treatments. I hate spending huge, so I choose using at-home products. And trust me the results are pretty good! I use whitening strips before bedtime. However you can choose to use gels or pastes too.
  2. Once a week I brush with a paste of baking soda and fresh cut lime juice. It helps in maintaining the whiteness of the teeth.
  3. I love eating banana a lot; it really adds lot to the good health. And I rub my teeth with the front side of the peel. Though there are many who say this is nothing but a myth, but I don’t agree.
  4. I quit smoking 2 years back, and drink hardly 2 cups of tea or coffee a day. I don’t think it harms much. But it is always better if you can STOP it all together. I tried, but…..couldn’t help drinking 2 cups!
  5. I have loads of natural colored drinks, but prefer sipping with a long straw, so that the liquid directly goes into my stomach.
